Najia Ashar is a broadcast journalist and media development professional with more than 20 years of experience in Pakistan’s mainstream media. She is the founder & president of Global Neighborhood for Media Innovation (GNMI), a nonprofit organization working for media development, peacebuilding, and criminal justice system capacity building in Pakistan.
She is working on empowering women in media, entrepreneurial journalism, gender equality, support to women-led digital media startups, and also providing training to thousands of aspiring and working media professionals, leaders and activists.
